In 2013, the 9th China Beijing International Garden Expo was held in Beijing. Located right inside the main exhibition hall in the Expo compound, the Riverside Hotel is wholly invested by the Beijing Fengtai Science and Technology Park Construction Development Co., Ltd and now under the management of BTG-Jianguo Hotels & Resorts Management Co., Ltd. of Beijing Tourism Group i accordance with an entrustment agreement. With a total floor area of 53,765m2, the Hotel has a 4,000m2conference hall that was designated as one of the main exhibition halls of the Expo and several smaller ones that were also used as exhibition halls. In line with its named, the “Source of Life”, the main architecture took a design inspired by the shape of an Arabic Number, “9”, to express the idea of“thriving and blooming in spiral growth” and our salute to the power of life in the natural world. The main exhibition hall is directly connected to the Hotel.

The entire architecture style is unique in the Fengtai District. The Hotel has 283 guestrooms, including president suites, embassy suites, executive suites, standard luxury rooms, as well as a fine collection of Chinese restaurants, western restaurants, a lobby bar and, particularly worth mentioning, a garden.
